We believe in one God, the Creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Genesis 1:1, 26 | Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19-20; | John 1:1, 14; 10:30-33; 14:9 | Acts 7:55
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son, our one and only Savior, who is both fully human and fully divine. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, died on the cross, was buried, and who rose again bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father, and will return to earth to judge both the living and the dead.
Matthew 21:11 | John 1:14 | John 3:16 | 1 John 4:9 | 2 Peter 3:18
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who, dwelling in us, gives us the power to serve Jesus Christ, be his witness and live a holy life.
Romans 6:12-13 | John 14:26 | John 16:13
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word. Along with the other things it says about itself, we believe the Bible is God-breathed, is living and active, and is able to make us wise unto salvation. We accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.
2 Timothy 3:14-17 | Hebrews 4:12-13 | 2 Peter 1:20-21 | 2 Timothy 3:14-17
We believe that all human beings are created in the image of God and are the hallmark of creation. Thus, human life is to be protected and honored from the time of conception to the time of natural death. We also believe that all people are sinners, lost and in need of salvation. Salvation is not by works but by grace through faith. The Bible instructs us to respond to God’s free offer of salvation through belief, confession, repentance, and baptism, followed by a life characterized by faithfulness and good works.
Genesis 1:26-27 | Psalm 139:13-14 | Jeremiah 1:5 | Acts 2:38 | Romans 3:23-24 | Romans 6:3-4 | Romans 10:9 | 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 | Ephesians 2:8-10
We believe in the true unity of all Christ-followers, forming the universal Church, the body of Christ. The central focus of the Church is to teach and encourage believers to love God, love people, and to make disciples of all nations. Local churches are to be led by Elders.
Matthew 22:37-40; 28:18-20 | John 17:20-22 | Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:1-6 | 1 Peter 5:1-4
We believe in God’s design for sexual identity, sexual expression, and sexual intimacy. God created us as either male or female, and we retain that sexual identity throughout life. God also gave us the gift of marriage as a life-long covenant that is to be established between one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy is to be reserved for that unique and sacred relationship.
Genesis 2:24 | Matthew 19:4 | 1 Corinthians 6:16-20
We believe that at the return of Christ, all people will be resurrected. Those who know Christ will rise to eternal life with Christ; those who do not know Christ to eternal judgment without Christ. At Christ’s return, all of creation will be restored, Heaven and Earth will be one, and God will dwell with his people forever.
Acts 17:31 | 1 Corinthians 15:1-58 | Revelation 20:11-22:21
